Lloyd Banks is the founder of Banks & Company, formerly known as LB3 Management.  Banks currently leads the strategic direction for the firm, oversees operations to include other market opportunities and talent development, client relations and finances.  
Banks is the former manager of community and civic affairs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan responsible for leading the community involvement function and strategy to advance the company’s commitment to Michigan communities while influencing consumers and groups in the marketplace. Under his leadership he has championed marketing to a wide range of diverse communities. Ultimately he enhanced the company’s reputation and relationship with key external stakeholders to lead and manage the company’s corporate community involvement initiatives including strategic partnerships, volunteerism, corporate giving, outreach programs and local promotions, and government relations.

Banks is also dedicated to working in the community, he has led several successful fund development campaigns raising millions of dollars in the span of 10 years.  Banks has been the recipient of many professional and civic awards including Who’s Who in Black Detroit 4th Edition and Michigan Chronicle’s 2009 Men of Excellence recipient and is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 

Banks received a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Administration.

Kory C. Hawkins has spent the past decade working in higher education administration, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, he is the Deputy Director for Education Pipeline Programs in the Office of Diversity and Engagement at the University of California Office of the President. He has also served as Associate Director of Admissions at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and as Assistant Dean of Admissions and Recruitment at his alma mater, Morehouse College, in Atlanta. In these roles he has gained a great deal of experience working with students and parents of various socio-economic backgrounds and helped them to understand the value of their educational investment.  Kory graduated from Morehouse College with a BA in Spanish and received at Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.

In addition to running a successful professional Financial Practice, Tylene is a mom, a daughter, a mentor, a Cub Scout Den Leader, and a friend. Upon completing her bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University 2004, Tylene started her career in the insurance and financial services industry with Progressive Insurance in South Florida. 
For over a decade Tylene has been gaining knowledge and nurturing her career and expertise in the insurance and financial services industry. She has had the privilege of guiding families and businesses across North America to towards their unique visions of Financial Independence. She is known in her community for her dedication to service, integrity and persistence in providing valuable resources and solutions.  She is a licensed producer of Life, Accident, Health, Long Term Care and Variable Annuities. Tylene is registered with FINRA and holds Series 6 and 63 securities licensure.

Lauren Hudson is an Emmy Award-winning Television News Reporter / Producer who’s worked with national networks ABC, NBC, CBS, UPN, FOX and E! Entertainment Network.  Lauren has also received honors from such organizations as The Associated Press; The Detroit Press Club; Michigan Association of Broadcaster, and “Who’s Who Among American Women,” for being one of the first female Television News Directors in the U.S.  Additionally, Lauren is a noted Presentation Coach, Platinum Speaker, and founding Director of the Les Brown Speaker’s Training Network.  Se is the Author of several books and CD’s.

Mable Jones is a retired AAA Michigan Director. Dr. Jones has volunteered for Detroit Children`s Hospital Foundation board; NAACP Executive Dinner Committee and Golf Committee; UNCF Leadership board; Starr Detroit Academy board; Spaulding for Children Board; StVincent de Paul Board; Catholic Charities board; MAAH volunteer; Focus Hope volunteer; Urban League volunteer. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and earned a Doctorate from LaSalle University

John E. Taylor is the Senior Director of Global Supplier Diversity Solutions and Member of Gonzales Financial Consulting, LLC. John recently retired from Delphi Automotive with 38 years of service.

While at Delphi he led the award winning Delphi Supplier Diversity process that amassed more than $8 billion in spending impacting hundreds of Value driven Minority, Women and Veteran owned Businesses.

John is currently serving as Vice Chair and Treasurer for the Council of Supplier Diversity Professionals (CSDP), a member of the Advisory Board for the Diverse Manufacturing Supply Chain Alliance (DMSCA), on the board of Directors North Oakland YMCA and serves as a Board member for Real Life 101.

John has received awards and recognitions for his professional work with the Diversity Councils and Chambers of Commerce.

John has a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University. John is a graduate of the Pontiac Motor College of Manufacturing Management.

Cameron Thomas-Shah serves as a U.S. diplomat, having served in Vietnam and Honduras (Summer 2017). As a student, Cameron received more than $500,000 in scholarships and grants which allowed him to made the world his classroom. Cameron has traveled to more than 45 countries and speaks French, Vietnamese, and Spanish.

Thomas-Shah holds an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), in American Foreign Policy and a B.A. in International Studies from Morehouse College. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and is recipient of the Seymour Gretchko Youth Advocate Award, Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, and several group Franklin Awards.

As a first-generation college student, Lisa Thompkins happened upon post-secondary education with limited guidance, preparation and resources which inspired her to build a career in helping students build their futures.

Lisa Thompkins has been an educational innovator for over twenty-five years and is currently a high school counselor within the Oakland County school district where she works to advance college readiness, community service, diversity, social/emotional development  and the pursuit of higher education.

Lisa Thompkins received her Bachelors Degree in Social Studies from Michigan State University with a minor in Communications and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Her teaching career began in Fairfax County, Virginia however she decided to return to her roots and teach social studies in Detroit Public Schools. Devoted to making a difference in her community, Lisa Thompkins also worked as a Special Projects Coordinator for Detroit City Council member Alberta Tinsley-Talabi and became the founding Executive Director of Mack Alive. She later returned to her first love - teaching. She pursued her Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Wayne State University which placed her in a position to focus solely on preparing and supporting young people for their post-secondary plans.  

Through a collaborative effort with metro Detroit high schools, Lisa Thompkins serves on the Wayne State University High School Advisory Board to give students a seamless admission and transition process into college. An avid believer in lifelong education, Lisa Thompkins has hosted skills seminars for clients including the Detroit Lions and the Rhonda Walker Foundation.

Liz Walker practices Native American Law and Policy in her own firm, Walker Law LLC in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.  She represents Tribes and Native Business with Governmental Affairs and Administrative Law issues.  Her practices ranges from, Federal Recognition of Tribes, Tribal Transportation funding and Energy and Economic Development.
