FRESH PERSPECTIVES COLLEGE READINESS AND FINANCIAL LITERACY SERIES

1. BLACK FRIDAY SCHOLARSHIP BOOTCAMP:  This is our signature program is held annually in Detroit.  2018 will be its fifth year in Detroit.  The event draws 300 students and their parents from multiple regional communities.  The event is an intense full day of activities with a host of morning speakers and an afternoon writing lab. 

2. SCHOLARSHIP SATURDAY BOOTCAMP: This is a half day workshop series is held in various cities, i.e. Detroit, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Chicago, Raleigh,St. Louis and customized for organizations. 

3. SCHOLARSHIP SUNDAY SPEAKERS: This series is held at various churches during their annual programs 

4. GLOBALIZING YOUR EDUCATION: An online and in person seminar for students wanting to study abroad.  Whether its students wanting to study abroad or come to the United States, we help students prepare their packages for consideration. Fresh Perspectives has partnered with EducationUSA.  2015, FP spoke in Vietnam.  In 2017, spoke in Trinidad and Tobago and partnered with and EducationUSA seminar that reached 220 international cities. 

5. HBCU TOUR SCHOLARSHIP KICKOFF: A 1.5  hour seminar for parents and students before students leave for college tours during Spring and Easter break so Students will know the hard questions to ask colleges/universities.

PARENTING WORKSHOPS
We hold two parenting workshops for parents of all age children.  They include “How to Raise a child with Character and Conviction”  and “The Parents Smart Guide To Sending Your Kids to College Without Going Broke”

Fresh Perspectives partners with PTA, Parent Organizations and Community Groups on our program, “How to Raise a Child with Character and Convictions.  We work with groups from 25 to 2500 people.  The workshops can range from 1 hour to a 4 hour workshop.  Send a request from the seminar request tab
The Parents Smart Guide to Sending Your Kids to College without Going Broke” provides life lessons from my book in raising a black male in Detroit and being a single mom
